She also works as a consultant in dermatology at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where she is a member of the skin cancer multidisciplinary team. She graduated from the "Grigore T.Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy, in Romania. She then went on to receive her DPhil from the University of Oxford for research on skin cancers in renal transplant recipients, and her FRCSEd (Plast) from the Royal College of Surgeons.

She completed her surgical training at a number prestigious hospitals, including Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London and the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust in Oxford. She also undertook further specialist fellowships in skin oncology and hand surgery. She is on the GMC specialist register.

In addition to her medical work, Dr Bordea also has a strong academic background. When she is not treating patients, Dr Bordea carries out medical research, with a focus on skin cancer. She has presented her work at national and international meetings and published in peer-reviewed international journals. In 2016, Dr Bordea held the position of Visiting Scholar at the University of Tasmania in Australia, where she conducted research into stem cells.

She is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the Royal College of Physicians and the British Society of Cosmetic Dermatology.

Mr Elson has contributed to his field via medical research, with over 20 publications in the medical literature; the majority concerning knee surgery - particularly knee osteotomy and knee pain. This research has been presented on national and international stages.  

Mr Elson is the Chairman of the United Kingdom Knee Osteotomy Registry, established to further human understanding of knee osteotomy as a powerful treatment option. He is co-convener of the Northern Osteotomy Masterclass, which has become the largest cadaveric knee osteotomy course in the world, educating other surgeons on the safest and best techniques to perform knee osteotomy.

Currently Dr Holroyd is the clinical lead cardiologist at Mid Cheshire Hospital NHS Trust and an interventional cardiologist at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. Dr Holroyd performs diagnostic coronary and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI or stenting) usually via a radical approach (in the wrist) for patients with ischaemic heart disease and other indications. He is familiar with the use of intravascular imaging, pressure wire assessment and other percutaneous procedures.
